On-site repair and maintenance

In what cases is on-site equipment repair better than repair in a workshop?
On-site repair of floor machines is usually better when moving the equipment is expensive, risky, or would cause too much downtime. Large or heavy units - ride-on scrubbers, high-capacity walk-behinds, big dust-controlling sanders, autoscrubbers with full tanks, or machines stored on upper floors - are often much more practical to service where they are. If the suspected fault is relatively simple and local an on-site visit can get the machine back in service the same day. It’s also the better option when the machine depends on the building’s power, water, or vacuum lines: testing in the real environment helps the technician see issues that might not show up in the workshop.
On-site repair is also ideal when the machine is mission-critical to daily operations, like scrubbers in supermarkets, hospitals, schools, warehouses, or contractors on a tight sanding/finishing schedule. Taking those machines away to a shop could stop work entirely, delay projects, or require costly rentals. In many cases, a we can combine an on-site repair with quick inspections of other machines, basic preventive maintenance, and operator coaching—reducing future breakdowns in one visit. On-site work is especially valuable early in a relationship with a customer: we can see how machines are actually used, stored, and cleaned, and can tailor recommendations to real-world conditions instead of guessing from a bench in the workshop.
